My mother has a medium & now small sized bed sore. What do we do? why is wound care not like urgent care where you can go and be treated?

Urgent care providers do not always have the expertise of treating chronic wounds. A wound care center/office has providers with wound care training and will have different options to help your mother including topical treatment, offloading, and nutrition. I would do an internet search for "wound centers near me" and get an appointment scheduled for your mom if the wound stalls or does not continue to heal.
