You should speak to your doctor and/or wound care specialist about hyperbaric oxygen therapy. This type of therapy promotes healing much better than an ointment will and is more effective on patients who have diabetes, which affects the body's ability to heal.

Our dog bumped into my leg and peeled surface of skin, the wound got larger and scabbed with redness and tightness around the wound. Subsequently the dog bumped into my leg again knocking the scab off/underneath was a deep hole and oozing. The swelling is worse and the redness is more present, while I receive sharp piercing pains from this wound going up the leg and hard form me to be on my feet because my foot swells so bad I am diabetic and have had heart surgeries.

My mother got blisters on her large toe. We consulted a surgeon and he put her on antibiotics for 8 days, but the wound has not heal. What now? All the tests have been conducted (blood flow, pap smear of wound, etc.) and the doctor said it is normal and that it will take some time to heal. But, it has already 4 weeks.
