Why would a diabetic's patient injury not be healing quickly and causing chills?
Diabetics have poor wound healing due to poor circulation. Also, if their blood sugars are not well-controlled, this can also affect healing. People who are diabetic and have wounds that are not healing are at high risk for infection, which may explain the chills. They are also at high risk for serious complications, which may lead to serious infections and possible amputation. I would recommend you see a wound specialist and possibly undergo hyperbaric oxygen therapy to get this wound to heal as soon as possible, as well as the patient may need some antibiotics.
