Been seeing a wound doctor for 11 months for the same wounds and they still have not healed.

The wound should be checked for bacteria even though there may not be signs of an infection. If there is an abundance of bacteria in the wound, it may hinder healing. You may also need hyperbaric oxygen therapy to help this wound heal. There are also other products that can be used to jumpstart or wake up a wound. Over time, with chronic wounds, the body gives up trying to heal it and forgets about it. You have to wake the wound up again and make the body realize that it has a wound it needs to heal.
