How can I treat an open ulcer on the ankle?

varicose ulcer, open wound on the ankle. Tried many different types of medication but nothing seems to help. What do you suggest and who should I see?

Treatment of an ulcer that is a result of vein disease is best treated with compression of the leg to decrease swelling, as well as topical wound treatment. If the wound has been present for a while without healing or you have recurrent wounds, I recommend you go to see a certified wound specialist for assessment.
