I was bit on my arm by a yellow spider on Saturday at 1 pm. It's been itchy and red around the area since, and now it feels hard underneath it.

Any suggestions on what to do? Would you recommend getting it checked, or is it OK to wait a few days?

Spider bites vary in severity. However, it sounds like yours won't be too bad. The firm area underneath is probably remodeling of the bite to form a type of scar tissue. I would recommend going to see your provider if the redness or pain starts to worsen. Otherwise, you'll probably be fine!

Bitten 15 years ago and will not allow tissue to regrow to cover normally. Top of left ankle, will scab over, but when scab is removed tendons are visible. I am not diabetic.
