I have a good plastic/wound surgeon but even after 40 Hyperbaric Oxygen treatments he tells me that I will have to have another surgery after so many since my admission to the first hospital on October 14, 2014. He has just almost given up hope and he doesn't know what to do now. My first 4 consecutive hospital visits covered 5 months and since then I have daily care, treatments, hospitalizations and surgeries. I really don't want more surgeries! I need another option.

Laceration treatment?
Wound Care - 2 years ago1 answer
A day ago I had an accident and was injured slightly. There was a tear through my sock and a wound underneath. According to medical terms it is a Laceration. I cleaned the area with antiseptic and washed it. Then I applied Hydroheal ( Hydrogel Wound Dressing with Colloidal Silver) and covered it with a sticky gauge, then normal gauge and then finally a crepe bandage. I did this because similar treatment was done before too when I had a similar wound in the hospital. Is covering okay?

can a wound vac be used in an iffecteed incision on the scalp?
Debridement - 2 years ago1 answer
My wife had a craniotomy and the fluid around the incision site never went away. after a few months the fluid became infected and started to drain. Subsequent trips to the hospital didn't cure her.and she is taking antibiotics and on Xarelto. She also had a detriment procedure and the fluid came back after a few weeks. The neurosurgeon that preformed the surgery sent her home and told us to just keep the open would clean.
