My mother has varicose issue and she's sixty years old.The thing is recently she started getting wounds and when one wound heals after so long time another one appears. Is there a way to prevent new wounds?

Your mother may have other issues that have not been diagnosed, such as venous insufficiency or arterial insufficiency. Both of those diagnosis can cause ulcerations. These wounds will continue to occur until the underlying problem is addressed. They either have to restore arterial blood flow or fix the venous blood system. It is best if she can been seen by a wound specialist to help with the wounds and undergo hyperbaric oxygen therapy. She may also need a vascular study to determine how the blood is flowing in her legs.
